Saturday, June 20, 2020, 2pm: Our stories are our power, and we all have them within us. They connect us to ourselves, each other, and to something bigger than us.
Come learn about the power of storytelling, practice communicating your own stories using guiding prompts, building trust and community by sharing and gathering feedback.
"Storytelling is one of the most important assets that Asian American, Pacific Islander, and Desi communities have. It is through stories that we learn the truth about what injustice, exclusion, and invisibility look and feel like for our communities.
We believe that if we support and invest in storytelling, organizations may more powerfully illuminate truth, as well as activate and motivate action that helps communities to achieve the change they seek."
Facilitated by Nushrat Rahman, Detroit-based journalist.
